A modern hotel and very close to the center, comfortable and clean rooms, we felt safe thanks to a reception staffed 24/7 and thanks to double doors to the room. On the roof of the hotel there is a restaurant and a bar with a lovely view. Breakfast is very nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and happy to recommend us restaurants. Great value for the price we paid! Highly recommend
Strong recommendation. Excellent hotel at a very good price. The friendly welcoming staff are fantastic. The beds comfortable and showers full of power. Breakfast also nice to sit down to.
It was a lovely 3-night stay, superb breakfast, and a walkable home base for us. The nightlife was a bit noisy late into the night, light sleepers beware. You get what you pay for, amiright?
One very sweet staff member was quite saddened by the pet bird in a cage - said “birds should be free to fly”, and I can’t help but agree.
Thanks for the hospitality, we hope to visit again someday!
At the Artist Athens, you pay for a room even when the hotel is closed. We were due to stay in June 2020 for our honeymoon. We could not stay because the hotel was closed due to COVID-19. The hotel refuses to refund us or let us move the booking. According to their manager 'this is the hotel's policy'.
This is very poor service as our other hotels in Greece have moved the bookings for us without incurring any additional cost.
EDIT: In response to the artist Athens comment below.
1. They ignored my requests to move the booking to 2021 sent via email.
2. They sent me a credit voucher for less than the price I paid. This voucher does not allow me to book a room for 2021 because of steep price increases. 85% increase.
3. They told me to wait until the prices drop, as they said.
I told them this was unacceptable and asked for a refund, which they then refused due to 'Hotel Policy'.
Additionally the hotel did not even bother to contact me to tell me they were closed. It wasn't until I phoned them up shortly before our booking date that they clarified this.
The best hotel for a couple. Good vibes, relax, comfortable, good breakfast. We loved it!
