We stayed at The Foundry for one night in August, in the midst of the global covid debacle. We arrived just before check-in time and stepped across the way to the super quaint Locali courtyard for a bite and a drink. In the hotel, safety measures taken kept us calm and reassured (and we travelled with our child).
The room was awesome! We especially loved the courtyard and the super comfortable beds. The neighbourhood of "Old Athens" inspires nostalgia. We absolutely loved the Acropolis views, the generous and tasty breakfast, not to mention the Nespresso that we could take up with us from the room. It felt like a perfect combination of a carefully curated hotel mixed with the coziness of staying with a friend.
We parked our rental car on the street near the hotel. When we returned from a walk in the city centre, we found our battery was dead. The hotel staff not only helped us telephone the rental company for technical support (and waited with us until they came), but they even asked two parking attendants if they could help out.
All around feel-good stay! This was more than just a bed and a bougie visit! We can't wait to return, and for more than one night. Now, if something can be done about that horrible virus!
A lovely place with lovely people. A place with class with vintage design . And the rooftop with a view on the Acropole. AMAZING. Want to stay there. In love with this place
