Great entertaining hotel with friendly staff and great views only a ferry away from the city center. Shower with a view in the corner rooms. Great fun. Love to come back.
Had a wonderful staycation in this hotel! The urban look of Sir Adam was really unique and eye catching. We had a beautiful and unique room with a perfect view (even in the shower) and lots of funny details such as the binoculars and a record player! The personnel was very enthusiastic and friendly. Also had the best burger at the Butcher and breakfast in bed! Overall a highly recommended hotel and we will surely come back soon!!
Overall our stay was good. The proximity to the main city but the separation of the river was fantastic. We stayed 6 nights and the main thing holding the hotel back was one night there was a backflow in the sewage air pressure system which caused a horrific smell in our room. We reported it to the hotel staff but got no resolution. The next night the smell was gone but for one night it was basically unbearably smelly.
Great service, loved my room with a view. Meals well prepared. Good and friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel for both pleasure as business.
I stayed here in the middle of a lockdown to get some work done. The staff did really well in coping with all the limitations: service was friendly and professional, meals were really well prepared, and the rooms were clean.
Location wise it is perfect to go there by train. Go to Amsterdam Central and take the free ferry across the IJ River. From there it is a 3-minute walk to the hotel.
Special features: a karaoke elevator, a turntable in the room (which you can use if you want), and a beautiful view
I definitely recommend considering the Sir Adam hotel if you're visiting Amsterdam.
