The guys at the front desk were so cool and gave me some beer reccomendations, as they are also the bartenders! Stayed here during my visit to Amsterdam and went to a show across the street at Melkweg. Rooms are small, but that was fully expected before booking, and it can be loud when the tram comes by through the night. It's fun to play on the pool table as well. Great place to stay! 5/5.
I had an amazing stay. The staff is very friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms and facilities are very clean and well maintained. This hotel is something special due to the backstage facility which was perfectly implemented. The location is great for exploring the city, shopping and nightlife. For warmer days you will find a portable fan in the room. The next tram station is only 5 min away. The only disadvantage is that this hotel does not have an elevator. My room was located on the 4th floor with round about 71 stairs, which you go up and down several times a day. So you definitely don't need a gym. Eat the delicious Dutch fries, pancakes and cheese without feeling guilty. The calories will surely be burned. ;-))
I definitely recommend this hotel and will book it again on my next stay in Amsterdam.

The best hotel by far in Amsterdam. It's all because of the staff: genuine, hospitable and with loads of humor. Also it's location near all the great Amsterdam venues is outstanding. The Backstage hotel Amsterdam is a must!
