Amazing boutique hotel, however would recommend paying the extra for balcony as room's are not so big. Lovely breakfast on the terrace and in the most perfect location on alicante, beach two minutes walk, cafes all around. Highly recommended
Please don’t be put off by the name Hostal! The top rooms are exquisite and The location absolutely perfect. Parking next door if you ask. A great location to visit the heart of wonderful Alicante
Very beautiful and the personel is so nice it's wonderful to stay here. The rooms are clean and very cute decorated. I would totally recommend this place especially for young people because all around here are places for partying. It was a great time staying here and I would come back by any chance!!
Melia Alicante is excellently located. Shops, restaurants, museums, rdv for activities like catamaran, parasailing are all walking distance.
We had stayed here for 12 days last July and we were super pleased with the services (Reception (kudos to Monica, Amin and Cristina!), The Level (Paqui and Racio), Housekeeping (Elena and her alternate), Transluz Restaurant (Sergio) even their nightly bar entertainment).
There are two swimming pools (one reserved for the The Level guests) and a bigger one (which has a Pool Bar).
We had actually booked for two rooms at the Level. Upon arrival though, we surprisingly learned that the kids (both 15 years old) could not stay as the Level is reserved for adults (18years and above). This was not clear during the booking and there was a misunderstanding when I called to confirm. Anyway, to make the story short, Monica and Cristina did the necessary (Cristina even recommending Melia in Benidorm and Monica assigning us to especially located rooms)to make us stay (parents in the adults section and kids on the general section!). We both had fantastic view of the sea and the beach, the kids on the 2nd floor, just above ours. We were so pleased of our sejour and we would definitely come back in the future : )
PS: I have to highlight that they are very strict with the sanitary safety protocol which was very assuring.
Great experience! We were welcomed by a very friendly blonde girl (sorry, cant remember her name). She was very welcoming and professional. The apartments are great! Very specious, large bed, high ceilings, washing machine, dishwasher etc etc. Location is superb as well, about 3 min to the beach and local shops are nearby as well.
There is also a great place for breakfast nearby called "Baker and Co" highly recommend.
Overall, very happy!!
This is a superb boutique hotel, attention to detail excellant. Rooms perfect. Breakfast tailored made. Special mention to Sandra on reception, very friendly and nothing was s problem. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our anniversary extra special.

Tonight we visited Chef's Concept in Alicante. The food was great, the best we tasted since our stay in Alicante. Nice variety in the menu (tapas, paella, meat). The wine that was recommended was delicious and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The street it is located in is busy and a lot of fun, live music included! Definitely worth a visit.
Nice place, but my room was close the bathroom, so was very noisy. But it's very clean, but miss some stuff in the room.. Bin, better pillows and blank.
The hostel looks pretty new. Its location is unbeatable though, directly across from Santa Bárbara Castle and about a 7-minutes walk to the Old Town. However, you might miss it if you're not careful because it's discreetly tucked away on a small alley behind the main road. There's not much of a social vibe (or rather, zilch) in the hostel, though staff is friendly. Perhaps, Alicante is just not that kind of an attractive touristy city in Spain. The rooms are small, but fairly clean. The elderly staff there are friendly and approachable, and readily accepted my last-minute request to switch to a lower-deck bed as soon as one became available. There is no TV in the sparsely decked common area, and you cannot cook anything in the kitchen (because there's no crockery or utensils. No breakfast provided either. I spent half the duration of my stay in the common area because walking outside in the incessant rain was just too miserable and depressing!! Even the Semana Santa processions were heavily scaled down because of the rain. Thankfully, I met some really nice travellers on my last day (who, like me, were 'stranded' in the hostel because of the rain), and we literally spent hours drinking and chatting. Just the night before, the entire common area would have been empty by 8 p.m.

Everything was really fresh and expertly prepared. The patatas bailén is excellent. Such a simple dish, but so delicious.
Very reasonably priced - this place is definitely a good choice.
The beer and wine choice is good and well priced.
