Please don’t be put off by the name Hostal! The top rooms are exquisite and The location absolutely perfect. Parking next door if you ask. A great location to visit the heart of wonderful Alicante
Lovely place quaint brilliant location independent not a chain
Great cozy rooms, even greater rooftop terrace that you can visite without being an actual client of the hotel. The breakfast.... don’t count on that, it’s pretty basic and O K but over all the place is great and beautiful.
Note that they have renovated the rooftop bar and the cocktail prices have gone up. The place was nicer before they renovated it... so that’s kind of a bummer :/ used to be a usual spot for me but I think I won’t be going there as much as I used to.
Lovely little boutique hotel in the heart of the Barrio. My family love to stay here when they come to visit me in Alicante. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is triple glazing in the rooms so the nightlife noise does not disturb. The roof terrace is a fabulous place to have a drink in the evening, with views of the castle and the cathedral.
We stayed at Les Monges for 2 nights. The hotel is nice looking (even if it needs an update) and is very well located as it is walking distance from the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Also, the staff is very kind and welcoming.
However, as the building is probsbly quite old, rooms need additional accustic insulation. Especially the ceiling was very squicky and we could hear the footsteps of the occupants above us as if they were walking in our room. This has been really annoying as this noisies have seriously effected the quality of our sleep. Also, apparently when you book a room at this hotel and want a double room with a double bed, you need to specify it other wise they give you a twing bedroom. For example, we booked a double superior and were put in a twin room (but the receptionist changed our room as soon as we complained).
