This little boutique hotel will always get or business over any other when we're there. Charming place and very affordable with excellent facilities. The staff go above and beyond to make you welcome. It's off the main drag so is lovely and peaceful. Loads of character.
DO NOT STAY HERE FOR MORE THAN 1 or 2 NIGHTS. This hotel is out in the sticks and run by the Spanish for passing Spanish business people. Language is a massive barrier here and the taxi drivers don't speak English either, so it's no use asking them for restaurant recommendations. There were no kettles in the room to make our own drinks and there were no English channels on TV. We were basically a 70 year old couple dumped in the middle of nowhere. I know it's February, but people still need to eat, but no evening meals were laid on. There were no restaurants or shops nearby and we needed taxis to get anywhere - even the beach. Our room was small and cramped, not conducive to a weeks stay or look anything like the photos. The garden with the best pool was out of bounds as the owners still live there and that one's theirs. The smaller pool in the public area was filthy and that area was closed off too after the gardener sprayed toxic stuff on the plants one day, so nowhere to sit and sunbathe or just lie down and relax any more.
We have never been so glad to get home from 'a holiday' in our lives, it was nothing but a living hell.
Lovely hotel, simple but has what you need. On street parking right outside the gate. Easy access to city and beach. Very helpful and friendly staff.
What an amazing hotel this is. The hotel is spotless and rooms are lovely. The food when we were there was simply fantastic and all the staff couldn't do enough for us. A big thank you to everyone at Hotel Torre Sant Joan for making us so welcome. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
We only came to stay in this lovely little hotel purely by chance, as our selected place had no available room at the time. Their loss. As it happens, this is now our favourite hotel in the region to which we'll definitely return. Our air conditioned double room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, the staff was caring, attentive and multi lingual, the chef was great and the small garden looked spectacular. One night, we really fancied some Wiener Schnitzels and although it was not on the menu, the chef was more than happy to oblige. What an absolute gem!
