We were unable to travel last year due to Covid. Rather than refunding, they issued a voucher for use at a later date. We are no longer travelling, plus the voucher expires in June and the hotel is closed, so it's useless anyway.
They continue to fail to respond to requests for a refund, and have apparently decided to just keep our money.
Good, modern hotel with nice rooms. Very Corona-proof. Located in a nice secure residence. Walking distance from the strip & quick acces to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing wellness, we had great massages here.
Great hotel, friendly helpful staff. Kept very clean, and a nice chilled atmosphere. In a great location close to all you need, but not in the thick of it, shops, restaurants, bars and the beach has a great bar right on the sand, if you don't mind walking down the hill and beach steps.
I have quite mixed feelings.
Pros:
- service in the breakfast was quite friendly and helpful;
- breakfast itself was good, nice variety;
- swimming pool was good;
- rooms were comfortable;
- walking distance to the beach;
Cons:
- on the last day they first allowed, then denied us breakfast for not having an earlier reservation (even calling a day before) - that was poorly managed;
- I called reception and asked for cutlery they told me to call the restaurant, which didn't answer - would've expected a 4-star hotel to solve that in the first call;
- parking can be hard if all the places at the hotel are taken;
- bar at the pool is quite expensive, which discourage tipping.
Average:
- take a taxi to go to the center of Albufeira.
Fantastic rooms. Fantastic food. Fantastic staff. Close to 2 epic beaches. Loads of great places to eat nearby and of course the infamous strip for the party people. Covid has destroyed nightlife worldwide but the strip was still absolutely 'pumpin' haha. Highly recommend Albufeira as a whole!
